20 Tuesdays Comes to a Close

For Halloween this year I am going to dress up.  I'm thinking cat, because it will be easy.  This will be the first year with any of the Beanie Babies that I will be dressing up.  I think they will love it.

Thank you so much for following my 20 Tuesdays this year!  I will be bringing it back next summer.  I hope you join me!!

20 Tuesdays ~ Week 18

My BEST day was when any of my Beanie Babies were born.

Yes, I liked my wedding day and I think it was great {besides the heat}.
Yes, I have enjoyed each day that I met someone new in my life.
Yes, when you start a new job it is fun and I liked it.

BUT the best days of my life were when the Beanie Babies were born.  Each one is so unique.  I love telling their birth stories.  I love everything about them...except the pain I felt...that part sucked.

Have you shared a birth story {or more than one} on your blog?  Share a link in my comments.

20 Tuesdays ~ Week 17

My favorite book is whatever I am reading at the time.  Sorry, can't be more specific today.  I enjoy what I am reading and am not one to say, "you have to read ___".  You should probably read the books I have read because I only finish the ones I like, but I couldn't tell you the names!

20 Tuesdays ~ Week 16

School has started and I have no time to do anything I thought I would be able to do.  I feel like I have LESS time to anything and everything I wanted to do.  I thought I would have more time to clean, cook, BLOG; BUT it seems as if I am wrong.

Who knew NOT carting the Beanie Babies around to kingdom come would be so stressful?

What do you do while your kiddos are at school?

20 Tuesdays ~ Week 15

Now that Summer is over, I am excited to get back on track with my family.  The Beanie Babies will have a set schedule with school and {I hope} and earlier bedtime.  The Hubs and I will finally have some time at night to ourselves!

I am not as excited that the Beanie Babies get to go to school and be away from me all day, but I know they will learn a lot and make new friends and have a good time.  Therefore it makes up for my loss each day.

Little Baby will still be at home all day, and I am excited to have a few hours Monday thru Thursday alone with her.  I can't wait to see how much I can teach her.  The Hubs was able to stay home with the other two Beanie Babies and teach them the basics, so I am a first-time mom in this department!

Any tips?  Leave them in the  comments ;)

20 Tuesdays ~ Week 14

On my first date with my {current partner} husband...we went to a small eatery called "The Nectary".  It has since closed.  I was on my lunch break at work and he popped by.

It was such a shock because I didn't think he would just show up.  He was my personal trainer and I had mentioned where I worked and that he should stop by.  Never in a million years did I think he actually would.

20 Tuesdays ~ Week 13

On my first date EVER, we...went to see a movie.  I have no idea which movie it was.  We didn't kiss.  He did pay for my ticket, but didn't buy me dinner.  He picked me up and opened the doors for me.  I wore jeans.

It amazes me to see how different dating is these days for young people.  I feel like for those that are 35 and older, it is how I remember, but those younger it is a whole different ballgame.  Now, I don't make a habit of dating younger guys {especially since I'm married now}, but I have friends who are still out in the dating world.

I am old fashioned in the sense that I want the guy to pay, open doors, make the first move.  I don't want to be in the awkward position of "who pays?" because he should pay for me.  That's the way I was raised.  I guess the times have changed and all of that good stuff, but I feel like you can learn a lot about a man if he opens doors and pays on the first date.

20 Tuesdays~Week 12

My image loader is looking a little weird...so no fun week picture today :(

I caught my kid doing...

Well, I was going to write about how the Big One "painted" the wall with her poop one day; but now Little Baby may have taken the poop crown.

So, last week, I awoke to Little Baby giggling with joy.  She was SO BEYOND happy.  Giggling and letting little squeals of joy out.  I was happy she was happy and not screaming her head off.  The Hubs and I laid in bed for a few more minutes, soaking in the joy of our daughter.  OOPS!

I finally got up to take Little Baby {still squealing with joy} out of her crib to change her from overnight.  I looked in her crib and WHAT?!? did I see?  About 10 small little pea sized nuggets of brownish-greenish something-or-another on her mattress.  Instantly I knew what it was.  I felt her thigh and brought a newly soiled hand to my face.  Ugh.  She was playing with her poop.

She had it all over the mattress, the night light, the musical night light, the crib rails and her pillow {yep, we're those parents}.  I left her in the crib to wash my hands.  Went back to change her.  I grabbed her out of the crib and started to change her while the Hubs cleaned the crib and undressed the crib.

Ack.  So gross.

My original story involved the Big One, a magic wand {aka the paint brush} and toilet training gone wrong.

So, what have you caught your kiddos doing?

20 Tuesdays~Week 11

Amusement park rides make me...
...happy and sick, at the same time.  I love to go on rides, especially roller-coasters, but I think it's my age.  I just can't handle going on them any more.  There is an amusement park close to us that the Beanie Babies want to go to, but I just can't see spending all that money just to walk around the park.  I think we'll take them when they are older and can go alone and be a little more self-sufficient at the park.

20 Tuesdays~Week #10

The best baseball team is...

{via}

Ok, so we're not the BEST, but they are my favorite.  I have been following them my whole life.  I would LOVE season Tickets, but they are so expensive we rarely get to go to a single game.  A few years ago the Hubs and I went to a game with my dad, but that was it.  I wish we could go more often, but it just doesn't work out.

This year, we applied for the Big One to be a Bat Buddy in a few different programs, so hopefully she will get picked and we'll get to bring the family to see a "LIVE" game this year.
