1. If you get a day to stay home {and not have to go anywhere} what's on your list of things to do?

Hmm, well I stay home most days, but not relaxing ones!  The Beanie Babies really keep me on my toes.  We make breakfast, take a walk, play a little, make lunch, nap, walk some more, play some more, make some dinner, play some more...

2. Are you a dog or cat person or neither? Do you have a pet?

I am a cat person.  I am NOT a fan of dogs.  They make me cringe when they sniff more than my toes.  Especially big ones.

2. Do you collect anything {or have a hobby you're passionate about}? What is it?

I collect cookbooks.  Which is odd, because I don't use them.  I really should.

4. Cabin in the mountains or house on the beach?

House on the beach.

5. What is the best piece of life advice that you can give?

LIVE IT, don't waste your gift!

I {Jacquelyn from the Non-Martha Momma} had planned to do a giveaway on my blog when I reached 1,000 Facebook followers, but that happened right as I was going on vacation, so I figured I would wait until I got to 1,500 or 2,000 Facebook followers to do the giveaway, but I am only at a little over 1,200 and I am impatient so I decided I would do a giveaway when I reached 500 Pinterest followers. When I truly began blogging at the end of January I had less then 100 Pinterest followers and have finally reached and slightly exceeded 500! Yay!! 1.  What was your favorite book to read as a child?  Would you recommend it?  Why?

Oh, I'm not sure.  I loved (and still love) all books.  I am a slow reader, so that puts a damper on things, but I loved Nancy Drew books.  I have a collection of them somewhere.

2. What sport did you play in high school?

In high school, I played volleyball, softball and was a competition and wrestling cheerleader.  I also did choir, band and the school musicals and plays.  I was very busy.

3.  What is one prominent childhood memory

When my bestie and I set a couch on my class hamster.  Oops. 

4.  What were your dreams as a child?

Duh, to be famous.  Preferably for singing.

5.  What did you want to be when you grew up?  Did you fulfill those aspirations?

1. If you were going to start you own company, what would it be? 
Well, I did start my own company last year {and a different before that}.  It is a scenting company and we're taking steps to promote it currently.  Check us out Sensory-Scents!

Probably me.

3. What would the title of your autobiography be? Explain why....?
Title: I Did What?  Because I look back at a lot of my life and think that.  Sometimes good, sometimes bad.

My weight.

Duh, blogging.

Five Among Friends~Week 7

1)  If you could be famous for ONE thing, what would it be?

I would love to be famous for music.  I love to sing. I love to play the piano.  I just plain out right love music.  That is what I would choose.

2)  If you had a super-power, what would it be?  Why?

My super power would be to have everyone listen to me/do what I say.  Yep. I want control of you!!!

3)  When did you realize you wanted to be a blogger?

I'm not exactly sure when I decided I wanted to be a blogger, but about four years ago, I met a blogger and she got a lot of free stuff and I thought, I want that.

4)  UPS or FedEx?  Which is better?

I don't care for either.  It used to be UPS, but they just messed up a bunch of orders for our company...so now I don't like either.

5)  What's your favorite flavor of ice cream?

Peach.  Especially Bryers Peach.  YUMMY!

1. If you could switch blogs with another blogger, who would it be and why?

I really like Raising-Reagan, Nugget on a Budget, and Can I Get Another Bottle of Whine, but I would love to switch blogs with Hayley from Hanging off the Wire.  I love that she changes up her blog often and that she has her blogging sh!t together.  I also love to enter {and win} her giveaways :)

2. What is/are your favorite bloghop(s)?

Hmm, well, the obvious are Super Sunday Sync, #BlogTwitLov, and Finish the Sentence Friday.  I also like Raising Imperfection and the Naptime's Like me on Facebook.

3. What is the best thing that blogging has taught you?

Find time for my family.  It's easy to get swept up in life {especially blogging}, but they are so important and you have so little time with them.  Hence the blog schedule, coming to a blog near you {namely, mine}.

4. If you could turn back time, what would you change about your life?

I would FORCE my parents to let me attend more college classes when I was still in high school AND I would make myself finish college~the first time around.

5. Recommend 5 wonderful movies worth watching. Why do you love these movies?

Five Among Friends~Week 4

1. What is your favorite holiday and why

My favorite holiday is Christmas.  Why?  Because it's my birthday. 

2. Do you have a spacial or favorite cartoon or cartoon character 

My favorite Cartoon character is Hello Kitty and I'm so excited that the Beanie Babies LOVE her too!

3. What was or you think will be your reaction on the first day of school for your first born 

Well, this already happened for me, this past fall.  The Big One stepped in to the school-age!  It was really scary.  My reaction was...TEARS.  Of course.  I was so glad to see her getting the socialization that she needed, but sad that she was grown up!  You can read more HERE, if you would like.

4. What’s your preference: Swimming pool or beach and why

Swimming pool is my preference.  Why?  Because there is no sand to get up you-know-where and irritate me.  The Beanie Babies prefer the beach, so they can dig in the sand.  Generally, I will not swim at the beach, unless there is more than one adult, but I feel fine at a pool.  I think because it is confined...and has measured places, so I know how far out the Beanies can and should not go.

5. How do you schedule your blog post and do you use any type of system

I schedule my blog posts when I think of them,  I schedule my hops when I remember to.  Yep, I forget until the last second a lot...sorry co-hosts!  I am trying to get better and have a whole new schedule that will be laid out in the coming months.  My new schedule will be fully up and running by September, but the last change will happen in October, because 20 Tuesdays goes until then.  My only system is my brain, so it pretty much sucks.

Sorry about the late posting this week, as I just said, I rely on my brain to remember for now, so it's late.  I'll be better about next week, as I am starting on that for Monday NOW!

Five Among Friends, Week 3

Questions:

1.  Who is the person that made you do the dumbest thing?  What was it?

The dumbest thing I ever did was bet my good friend about sleeping with our personal trainer.  My friend was Lanaya (not Raising Reagan Lanaya, a different one) and she thought she was all that and a double bag of chips.  So, when we joined a gym, she bet me that she could sleep with her trainer sooner than I could mine.  Ha!  I showed her.  Not only did I sleep with the guy, I married him!!  Take THAT for stupid.  Ok, so the fact that I met my husband that way wan't really stupid, but the betting was.  Especially since now that's the story I have to tell when people ask how we met.  EMBARRASSING!

2.  What was the FIRST job you ever had?

The first job I had was in a coffee shop.  That didn't last long.  First, I don't drink coffee.  Second, I don't like the smell.  Third, I didn't like my boss and he didn't like women.  Forth, I quit one day, on the spot because he made me clean the bathroom.  I was 15 and didn't realize the boss could tell me to do that.

3.  When do you relax and how do you do it?

I relax when I sleep.  Seriously, that's when I do it.

4.  Where was your most memorable date?  Who was it with?

The most memorable date I ever went on with NOT with the Hubs, sorry, honey.  It was with a guy we'll call NUMBER1.  He was my first love.  Not the first guy I dated, but the first one I really thought I was in love with.  It was Valentine's Day and he got me a crap-ton of purple roses.  Purple is my "favorite" color.  I had never seen purple roses before, and quite frankly, didn't think they existed until that day.  His dad owns a flower shop, so that's how he got them...and SO many of them.  I don't even know how many he got.  I know that it helped his dad's business, too.  He didn't carry them before then, only for special requests.  Since NUMBER1 ordered them and they needed to be kept in a fridge, they were in the shop and people kept asking for them.  NUMBER1's dad had over 100 requests for them in 2 days.  He almost sold my Valentine's Day gift!  Looking back, I'm surprised he didn't.  I know one client offered him a TON of money for them.  Anyhow, NUMBER1 made me a candlelit dinner and we watched some movie.  I have no clue what the movie was, because I'm fairly sure we had stopped watching it by the time it started.  So, that's my most memorable date, in a nutshell.

5.  Why do you blog?

I blog because it is my escape from the Beanie Babies and the Hubs.  For an hour or two a day, I get to sit at my computer and IGNORE them.  Does that make me a bad mommy?

Five Among Friends 2

1.  What is your favorite thing about blogging 

My favorite thing about blogging is being able to share with all of you.  I love that I can meet people online and have an instant connection with them (because we all blog).

2.  What do you dislike about blogging 

Pictures.  The Hubs is very protective of his Beanie Babies and their identities, so it's hard to express how wonderful they are without those cute pictures.  I try to get some up when their backs are to the camera, or a slight profile, but that's about all I can do.  Even that I know he doesn't like, but he's realizing that I am doing my best to accommodate both of our wants.

3.  What is you favorite thing to do with your little one(s)

Cuddle and read with them.  Ms. Middle is the best cuddler.  The Big One is at the age where she is really starting to "take off" with her reading skills.  Little Baby is a wiggle worm, but when she's in the mood, she will cuddle with the best of us!

4.  If you could move anywhere in the world (Money not being a question) where would it be, and why?

 My island.  Yep, I'm going THERE again.  And I'd still have all my STUFF.

5.  What is the most embarrassing thing one of your kids has done in public. 

 Thrown a tantrum.  Seriously, it was horrible.  We had to leave the store.  On the PLUS side, she's never done it again.  I figure I have one more time of this.  Since I had to with the Big One and Ms. Middle, I don't see how we'll get through without Little Baby doing the same.

Five Among Friends

1.  What is the most embarrassing song on your iPod/mp3 player?

        Nothing.  I'm not embarrassed about anything on my MP3 player.  I love it all and I own it all!  Especially the early stuff from my 2nd Husband ;)

2.  When was the last time you laughed so hard you cried?

        A few days ago.  The Beanie Babies keep you rollin'!

3.  What is your perfect Sunday afternoon?

        Having a nice picnic with the family, followed by nap time {and everyone sleeping}.  MMMM, that would be great!!

4.  You just won the bazillion dollar jackpot!  What's the first thing you run out to buy?

        My island.

5.  What is the craziest thing on your bucket list?

        I don't have a bucket list, so I have no idea.
