I Need Your Help

Calling all YouTube knowledgeable people!  How do I do...ANYTHING on YouTube?  Right now, I can only subscribe to other people's channels.  Is it possible to "re-Tube" anything or can I only use original content?  On Twitter you can reTweet, I 'm looking for something like that.  Possible?  Please say it is.  I would love to be able to look at my channel and see what I like, instead of seeing all the videos I "like".  Or is that how I find that I like?  That would be a bummer.  I would have to go "unlike" a bunch of stuff I didn't really like all that much.
